A different hop.....

Hi

An unusual post for me as I have been nominated by Brenda to participate in a hop of sorts to share a bit about our creative process.  I am privileged to be a craft buddy with Brenda on the Allsorts DT.  Thanks for nominating me.

I have four questions to answer:

1. What am I working on?

I have had a few weeks sorting out some workspace at home and unpacking my craft stuff from a house move last year so creative time has been quite limited, at the moment i am making a crochet hippo for my neice and have been having a play with some stamps from cardio for christmas cards.

2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?

Its funny because when i was asked to do this, brenda mentioned how much my craft has evolved.  I have always done one craft or another and have tried most things, i still love to sew, make jewellery and create and mostly have made stuff for my house this year.  I have a cleaner style than most in that i don't often use lots of embellishments on my cards however love to colour and lately ink and stencil anything that moves.  I guess i go where the mood takes me....my cards have certainly improved this year.

3. Why do I write/create what I do?

My Craft has been a salvation in a lot of ways im not going into details but being alone can be quite isolating at times, visiting blogs, get inspiration and creating makes me balanced particularly with the amount of hours i work, i cannot sit still and have to be doing something creative  - im so glad i wasn't young with computers and phones and did crafts and learnt to make things as it set me up for later life.  i dont have a lot of followers but i enjoy sharing what i do - would like time to do more but its not feasible just now

4. How does my writing/creating process work?

Throw a dice and see where it lands.....just kidding.  for my dt work i have set themes so can think about what i want to create, general play i seem to go through color phases and favorite stamps but i reach for a lot of the same things over and over - there's pretty much always a row of three gems somewhere on my cards.  i get inspiration from blogs, magazines, watching craft tv etc
Hope that's been informative....

I am nominating Sarah to carry on this hop from me so please pop and see her next Monday.  Sarah is my team mate on the allsorts challenge and makes a variety of beautiful cards alongside working and being a wife and mummy.  I think it is safe to say that she likes using flowers on her creations.

Thanks for stopping by

  1. Thank you for nominating me Tracy. I think your style has changed since we've been at Allsorts together and yep I do love flowers but like you I am enjoying trying out different things.

  2. Thanks for joining in with this Tracy and for sharing a little insight into your crafty world. I did panic a bit when I read this as I didn't remember mentioning in my post you were next in line but just checked and all is as should be.

And nice to see Sarah next in line.
