Week 189 Allsorts - Dies and Punches

Hi All

A new week at Allsorts and we are already at the 12th January 2013 - scary!, this week at allsorts the lovely Sarah is hosting with the theme "Dies and Punches"

We are joined by 3 new teamies Samantha, Tracy (known on the blog as Tracy Mouse as we are both spelt the same way - which is the best by the way!) and Wendy - please make them feel welcome.

I don't think you can see the backround particularly well, its a very pretty piece of hunkydorycard and i have tried to keep the soft colour theme throughout my card.

Allsorts - Week 188 - CAS

Hi All

Happy New Year, i hope you had a lovely christmas and are back filled with crafty inspiration!

This weeks challenge is hosted by Emma and is her last challenge with Allsorts - i am very sorry to see Emma leave our team, Debs has also stepped down from our team so a few changes ahead and on that Note a big welcome to Catherine who joins our team - i hope you will enjoy working with us.

This week we have CAS (clean and simple) as the challenge theme.  I would normally use a sponsors image but unfortunately christmas did not leave me a huge amount of time.

So....here is my card

The poppy is a gift from my lovely friend jo and the sentiment is from a docrafts decoupage kit.  I have used my artistic license slightly and have traditional and himlayan poppies - i just thought they worked ok together!!

Allsorts Week 186/187 - Its as simple as black and white

Its a two week challenge this time at allsorts to allow for the christmas break and this time its brenda's turn to host our challenge which is "its as simple as black and white"

I am fed up of christmas cards now so thought i would use this penny black image in a different way, i got the ballons free with a magazine and for some reason they fell into my hand when i was searching around for inspiration!

So its a balloon ride on a winters day!

I have cut the images out into tiles, coloured them with pro markers and added a few gems here and there (have a little thing for bling at the moment) and backed them onto some mirri card

Allsorts Challenge - Week 167 Going Around In Circles

This weeks challenge is set by Jo and is "going around in circles", i have used scalloped circle nestabilities and circle background paper to meet the brief.

Allsorts Challenge - Week 166 A Recipe

Hi All

Well its time for my first challenge at Allsorts (and i feel a bit like i am starting a new school :o))

I hope you have all been enjoying the Olympics.

So down to business...... 

The challenge this week is set by Nicola at Allsorts and its a recipe, this week you have to use 2 stamps, 3 flowers and 1 paper.

This is my card

The image is from digistamp boutique and is called Cocoa and Roses, this is my first use of a digi image and i have to say i enjoyed myself. The background paper i chose is from a first edition pad which i think is called isabelle, i have used nesties to cut out the image and its mount and have distressed the image with spun sugar distress ink.  I die cut the flowers and added some gems to tie in the themes together, the greeting stamp has been put on a scalloped nestie and i have used gems on the circle.  I added some ribbons and pins and job done!

Allsorts - Buttons and Threads

Have been playing with a magenta stamp set this week and done a few different cards in this style and really like it.  I probably like this one particularly as its PURPLE and has butterflies :o)
