Allsorts Week 191 - Masculine Cards

Hi All

Nearly the end of Janaury!, this week Catherine is hosting the challenge and she has set the challenge theme of "Masculine Cards"

This uses Digi Darla Race Car 2, i have resized the image to make a border and used a whimsy sentiment, i found the stars on clip art and think they work quite well, not my usual colour scheme but i quite like it!

Week 172 - Allsorts Challenge - Purple Passion

Hi

Well the weeks are whizzing by and its time for me to host my first challenge at Allsorts.  I am excited and nervous in equal measure.

My theme is "PURPLE PASSION" i want to see lots and lots of lovely purple inspired cards :o)

I started out as a quiller and decided to incorporate a couple of flowers into the weeks card

I have used the rudebeckia stamp by tonic, which has been coloured with copics.

Allsorts - Design Team Call

The Allsorts Challenge blog are having a call for 2 new design team members. I love the allsorts challenges and would love to be part of a design team so am having a go!

The stamp i have used is by Magenta and is already a firm favourite of mine. I have coloured it with pro markers and layered it on a coordinating paper stock edged with a martha stewart punch. I have added a charm to the bottom. Based on the design i think it doesn't need more than that to be honest.

Two challenges - One Card!

The challenge at Lili of the Valley is Fairies and the challenge at allsorts is things with wings!

Well as you can imagine the chance to use a butterfly was not to be missed! and of course use a bit of purple here and there!

I've used a lili of the valley fairy as the central image.

Teddy Bears Picnic

If you go down to the woods today your sure of a big suprise.......

As at allsorts the theme is teddy bears picnic.

Ted E Bear has his picnic in the boot and is on his way to pick up his lovely girlie teddy for a frolick in the long grass!!!!

He's hoping the convertable will make a big impression and his favourite honey sandwiches!

Allsorts - Card for a teenager

Haven't been one of these for a while but i think this is quite funky!!

The dragonflies are judikins and have been stamped on pattern paper and cut out. You probably cannot see but i have overstamped again with some gold ink and a crackle stamp. The little stamp with the butterflies and dragon fly is also judikins and the saying by printworks. I made the background with another butterfly and some silver embossing. I am pleased with it.

This weeks challenge is men/boys

I have used a Molly Blooms image coloured with pro's. I have layered this on a marianne die and some basic grey paper. I have added a flourish and some card candy and greetings.

Allsorts - Teal blue and brown

This weeks challenge is to use teal blue and brown and i have enjoyed every minute of this card this afternoon, so much so that i can see a couple more colourways being made too, i coloured the image a few weeks ago as sometimes you need to do something but can't complete a whole card!

I have used a martha stewart punch and a marianne die which i have embellished with butterflies and pearls, haven't added flowers to a card for a while and i have missed them - so glad christmas cards are over and this card is already having me dreaming of spring on the allotment.

Allsorts - Anything Goes

I have made these little notebooks today as last minute gifts (excuse the photos!). I think they fit the title for the challenge. I bought them ages ago and had not done anything with them so thought a little extra stocking filler was a good idea.

I have covered the backs and fronts with paper, done a decorative strip with my punches and layered a shape with a stamped circle.

Quite pleased with them and hope the new owners will be just as pleased!

One Card - Two Challenges

Not my normal style to do 2 challenges with 1 card but needs must this week!

This card is for 2 challenges, all my favourite things for penny black (yep you guessed it the purple is back) and the sketch challenge at allsorts.

I am totally fed up of christmas cards bah humbug so i have gone bright and summery for this challenge. The butterfly is ace and i got it at the NEC, looks great with some pearls and this lovely collection from craftwork cards.

Allsorts Challenge - Inspiration from a song title

"Rockin Robin" by the Jackson 5!

I attended a demo today and bought this clear stamp set by Woodware, i made an easel card after being inspired and have tried to make a tree out of the robins which have been coloured with Pro Markers.

I think its quite cute!

Allsorts Challenge - 3 punches

Hi

This weeks its 3 punches at allsorts. I have made a christmas card using a penny black image, papers are a mix of doodlebug and papermania. I have used a swirl punch, a die shape which i hope will count and a martha stewart punch.

I have also used some hobby house pearls and a crafters companion greeting.
