Craft a Scene - Snowy Cottages

Hi

I thought I would have a go at a new challenge after being inspired by Sally and Brenda's lovely snowy scenes today.

This month craft a scene have the theme of snowy cottages, quite apt based on how snowy it is here in Warwickshire and the rest of the UK

Stationary Wallet

Hi

We have had snow all day so far and i didn't feel much like venturing outside!

I was watching a demo of the hunkydory butterfly kisses this morning and they had quite a nice card wallet they were making, my initial reaction was - I NEED THAT KIT and then my new january resolve kicked in and i thought i can make one of those with what ive got!

so....

Its all card and toppers from a Kanban kit - sometimes nice not the have to try and match papers etc!

I'm going to give this to my mum as part of her birthday present so i hope she likes it

Week 190 Allsorts - Flower Power

Hi all

This weeks its my turn to host the challenge at Allsorts and i have chosen the theme "FLOWER POWER"

Father Christmas bought me the Butterfly Kisses Roses Set and i have done some paper piecing with it to create this brown and cream creation.

Lovely Lillies

 

I have been playing around with the hobby art lillies set that i won before christmas.  I have coloured the embossed background with some pink spun sugar distress inks and added a few dew drops.  Quite a soft colout pallet but lovely none the less.

Week 189 Allsorts - Dies and Punches

Hi All

A new week at Allsorts and we are already at the 12th January 2013 - scary!, this week at allsorts the lovely Sarah is hosting with the theme "Dies and Punches"

We are joined by 3 new teamies Samantha, Tracy (known on the blog as Tracy Mouse as we are both spelt the same way - which is the best by the way!) and Wendy - please make them feel welcome.

We are sponsored this week by passion for stamps and crimson cloud, i have used an image by passion for stamps for my card which is called Cosmos

I don't think you can see the backround particularly well, its a very pretty piece of hunkydorycard and i have tried to keep the soft colour theme throughout my card.

Penny Black - January Blues

I haven't entered the Penny Black challenge for a little while so have had a go at this months theme which is january blues :o)

I got a back of buttons from a new papermania collection and they made a lovely centre for the flowers i punched for the card

I love this little image - forgot i had it and it was lovely to do a bit of colouring

Stamping Sensations Friendship

Hi

 

The theme at this months stamping sensations challenge is friendship, so i have had a go and broken out some purple (woohoo). I have to admit i have struggled to find my mojo since christmas - perhaps its the january blues!

I have used a nellie snellen die and used the flower head and leaves from penny black lace flower, sentiment is inkadinkado i think.

GDT Penny Black and More - Love is in the Air!

Hi All

I am GDT at penny black and more for this months challenge which is "Love is in the Air"

Those of you who visit me will know that i always find love themed cards a struggle but i have done my best!

My Card.....

The card is made using 2 penny black images, the heart background is created using Heart Maze and the sentiment is called Reward of Love.  I have used fantasy film and fibres, some fine chameleon glitter, some complusary gems and some platinum stickles and bobs your uncle!

Word to the wise - memento does not work with fantasy film - use stazon :o)

Allsorts - Week 188 - CAS

Hi All

Happy New Year, i hope you had a lovely christmas and are back filled with crafty inspiration!

This weeks challenge is hosted by Emma and is her last challenge with Allsorts - i am very sorry to see Emma leave our team, Debs has also stepped down from our team so a few changes ahead and on that Note a big welcome to Catherine who joins our team - i hope you will enjoy working with us.

This week we have CAS (clean and simple) as the challenge theme.  I would normally use a sponsors image but unfortunately christmas did not leave me a huge amount of time.

So....here is my card

The poppy is a gift from my lovely friend jo and the sentiment is from a docrafts decoupage kit.  I have used my artistic license slightly and have traditional and himlayan poppies - i just thought they worked ok together!!
